Description
The Accounting Manager prepares journal entries, prepare account reconciliations, ensures data accuracy in accordance with GAAP, and performs account analysis to make sure that entries and balances are correct. This role works closely with the Controller.
Responsibilities:
With appropriate supporting documentation, prepare journal entries to record accruals, deferrals, capitalizations, amortization, depreciation, and other entries into the company’s accounting ledger.
Reconcile accounts on a regular basis. Ensure that all entries are accurate and that transactions are reported in accordance with GAAP.
Investigate reporting discrepancies and communicate issues as they occur in a timely manner.
Help Accounts Payable by coordinating with relevant departments for approval and ensuring timely & accurate processing and payment of invoices and employee expense reimbursements.
Assist with monthly inventory by reconciling to system and researching and resolving discrepancies with appropriate support.
Helps close the monthly and year-end books, accurately capture transactions in the proper G/L accounts and comply with GAAP.
Strategize and formulate new processes and automation
Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Qualifications:
Significant experience with financial accounting systems.
Proven knowledge of accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations
High attention to detail and accuracy
Infectious energy, strong initiative and a positive attitude
Ability to manipulate large amounts of data, perform searches and present data clearly and timely
Communicative, detail-oriented, and highly organized
Thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
Strong Excel skills
Self-motivated with a can-do attitude
BS degree in Accounting or Finance
2-3 years’ experience
