Job Description

POSITION : Development Engineer, Monitoring & Diagnostics

LOCATION : Jupiter, FL / Hybrid

STATUS : Salaried (OT Eligible)

JOB SUMMARY

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The essential functions of the job include, but are not limited to, the following :

Utilize and expand AWS Cloud infrastructure to enhance data analytics and monitoring capabilities (AWS full stack development, EC2, S3, Lambda, Amplify)
Develop / maintain software for monitoring, analyzing and graphically representing gas turbine operations.
Continuously refine / train models to mimic real life engine behavior, minimize false alarms, and predict gas turbine alarms before they occur
Work with operational team to support and troubleshoot issue with customer data and cloud infrastructure
Continuously improve the OSIsoft PI system architecture
Other duties as assigned

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education & Training

Bachelor's degree in computer science, data analytics, mechanical or other related engineering disciplines.

Experience With AWS Cloud Services (AWS full stack development, EC2, S3, Lambda, Amplify)

Experience with a modern programming language (Python, Typescript, Java, C , C#, MATLAB, etc.)

Experience with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Basic knowledge and understanding of software development practices including Agile methodology

Ability to demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and an aptitude for data and analytics

Proficient written and verbal communications skills

Preferred Skills / Experience

AWS experience / certification is a plus

Front end / full stack development is a plus (preferably with Typescript / React)

Data science experience / education

Machine learning / artificial intelligence experience / education is a plus

Experience with the OSIsoft PI system, including PI Asset Framework (AF), PI ProcessBook, PI System Explorer, PI Vision, etc.

Experience with codebase repository software (Git, Github, CodeCommit, etc.)
