As our caseload continues to grow, we are actively seeking a reliable and proactive Paralegal to join our team. This is a crucial role that will involve working closely with two attorneys on various litigation matters. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to providing the highest level of customer service.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with attorneys in all phases of personal injury and medical malpractice litigation, including case management, drafting legal documents, and conducting legal research.
- Manage ordering of medical, imaging, and billing records.
- Review medical records and create chronologies.
- Assist in the preparation and organization of trial materials, exhibits, and documentation.
- Coordinate and manage communication with clients, experts, and opposing counsel.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date case files, including electronic records and physical documents.
- Conduct factual investigations, gather evidence, and assist in the development of case strategies.
- Schedule mediations and depositions.
- Negotiate and settle liens.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience working as a Paralegal, preferably in personal injury or medical malpractice.
- Proficiency in legal research, drafting legal documents, and preparing trial materials.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in maintaining case files and documentation.
- Proven ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Clear and professional communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proficient in using legal software and tools for research and case management.
