Job description
To understand all functions related to packaging /wrapping PPC finished goods in a safe manner by following company policies and procedures. They are responsible for ensuring that the product does not become contaminated in any way and the equipment is maintained to ensure that it operates as designed and is safe at all times.
Follow all company policies and procedures. Be familiar with the operation of all safety devices on each forklift truck. Be familiar with the operation of all safety devices on the stretch wrapper. Operate and understand all aspects of all the forklift trucks. Operate and understand all aspects of the stretch wrapper. Read and understand job jackets. Understand the PPC roll labeling system. Generate the PPC pallet labels for each skid. Enter finished goods into the PPC Order Entry system. Locate and print COA's from the Access system Calculate impression and footage counts for partial rolls. Generate special pallet labels per customer requirements.Locate finished goods skids to the FG racks after wrapping and final inspection. Maintain packaging supplies for wrapping finished goods. Properly package and enter rework into finished goods. Complete all reports related to wrapping rework back into inventory. Maintain a charging schedule that ensures forklifts remain charged for all shifts Assist Shipping Clerk with loading or unloading of trailers. Assist Operators by weighing rolls. Organize and file job jackets after jobs are completed in slitting. Perform daily forklift inspections. Follow all GMP's to avoid product contamination. Keep wrapping area and equipment clean per SQF Food Safety requirements
