What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cash Operations Cashier position at Prairie Meadows?
Shift: 6pm-2am Sun & Wed-Sat 5pm-1am
Days Off: Monday/Tuesday
$16.50/hour Get paid when you need it – daily, weekly or biweekly!
($19.50-$21.50/hour including tips) **tips are not guaranteed

As a cage cashier, you have the opportunity to make sure the fun doesn’t end at the slot machine or roulette table. You get to make guests’ day as you redeem chips and process jackpots – all while giving excellent guest service and attention to detail. Strong math skills are a plus!
Here’s what you’d be responsible for:
- Check cashing, selling and redeeming chips, processing slots and table games jackpots, completing poker tournament paperwork, and balancing cash drawers.
- Providing what we like to call “Jackpot Guest Service.”
Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent. Cash handling experience required. Knowledge of 10-key by touch and strong math skills preferred. Accounting or banking experience a plus. Experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook preferred. Excellent guest service skills and attention to detail required. Must be able to count money accurately. Must be able to stand for long periods of time, work in small confined areas, and maneuver all areas of the casino. Must be able to handle a fast-paced and stressful environment. Must be able to tolerate secondary smoke and loud noise. Ability to lift up to 26 lbs. is required. Must be able to stoop, bend, reach, twist and grip objects, kneel, crawl, and differentiate colors. Weekend, holiday, and varied hours may apply.
Salary : $20 - $22
