We have an opportunity for a Customer Service Representative in our EDN Aviation/Velocity Van Nuys, California location. This position is responsible for providing effective customer service for all internal and external customers by using excellent, in-depth knowledge of company products and programs as well as communicating effectively with team members within the business unit.
Key responsibilities include:
- Communicates with Customers weekly/daily for in work jobs, via phone, email
- Resolve customer questions on jobs/quotes
- Manage customers quote approvals and present and re-quote if needed
- Confers with production, shipping, warehouse or common carrier personnel to expedite or trace shipments
- Answers questions from customers or individuals on how a product operates or directs them to the person able to assist them
- Ensures that quotes are processed through the quoting process in a timely manner
- Answer questions about warranties or terms of sale
- Suggest customer solutions when needed
Abilities and Qualifications
- Ability to coordinate and work well with other departments and individuals within organization
- Have strong team orientation
- Competency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Ability to read and write English, follow verbal instructions and use simple math
- Able to build and maintain lasting relationships with customers
- Excellent interpersonal, written & verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical skills, and the ability to summarize data and trends clearly
- Ability to work overtime, shift/weekends when needed
- Knowledge of the aviation industry and airline MRO preferred
At least 1 year of customer service experience in commercial aviation, preferably with an FAA repair station. Minimum of a H. S. Diploma or GED.
