What are the responsibilities and job description for the Welder position at Precision Aviation Group?
Keystone Turbine Services, a division of Precision Aviation Group, a leader in the MRO (maintenance, repair, overhaul) industry for general aviation aircraft. Our facility is in Coatesville, PA has an opening in our Machine Shop for an experienced GTAW (TIG) Welder. This is a great opportunity for an individual with strong hands-on experience to get into the aviation industry.
The Welder will use knowledge, skills, experience, and good judgement to produce a reliable, quality, airworthy product at a reasonable cost and optimum turn time while providing the highest quality of workmanship for all work accomplished. Previous aviation experience is valued, but not required.
Essential Functions include:
- Read and interpret OEM maintenance and overhaul manuals, service bulletins, and other specifications to determine the feasibility and method of repairing turbine engine parts.
- Weld/repair cracked and/or worn turbine parts.
- Operate AF36 Fleming Flow Machine (OJT can be provided).
- Paint turbine engine parts.
Ideal candidates offer:
- Excellent work ethic requiring minimal supervisor.
- Experience welding stainless steel, Inconel, Hastelloy and aluminum to meet visual and fluorescent dye inspection.
- Ability to meet multiple and competing deadlines.
- Able to meet physical requirements. This is a primarily standing position, routine push/pull 50lbs, reach overhead, bend over, and carry at least 30 lbs.
