What are the responsibilities and job description for the Receiving Specialist position at Precision for Medicine?
The Receiving Specialist will work in an organized manner to accurately receive Shipments of materials/product in order to maintain the integrity of inventory control, and insure the delivery of materials/product to the proper department.
Essential functions of the job include but are not limited to:
- Unload, Receive and Sign for incoming Packages
- Reconcile Number of packages Received/Delivered; before the Courier leaves
- Inspect and Record Packages for Damage or Defects
- Quarantine any Mis-delivered Package and notify Inventory Control Associate for Investigation for redirection of Shipment
- In conjunction with the Receiving Specialist , reconcile purchased materials received compared to Purchase Orders
- The Receiving Specialist will Follow Up with the Supplier and Requestor, as appropriate
- Submit to QA and complete RM label process for Received Items
- Ensure all Packing Slips (Original or Manual) are delivered to Finance
- Deliver RM Labeled Items to Recipient/Department and maintain a Log with the Signature of the Acceptor
- Return RM Label Packet to Quality Assurance Group
- Perform Routine Dock Clearance
- Contribute to Continuous Process Improvement Initiatives
- Support Shipping Specialist Role, as necessary
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Minimum Required:
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1 year relevant working experience
Other Required:
- Familiar with Warehouse Receiving procedures
- Good attention to detail, excellent documentation skills and must work well in a group environment
- Ability to work independently and make decisions with minimal supervision and guidance
- Must be a flexible, agile Team Player who can change activities and directions quickly and respond to a variety of assignments and changing business needs
- Ability to lift up to 60lbs and is able to squat, bend, stoop, push, kneel and reach
- Ability to sit, stand and walk for prolonged periods
- Ability to work in cold, hot and wet environments
- Must possess a valid driver’s license allowing you to drive in the state(s) you drive in
- Must be able to read, write, speak fluently and comprehend the English language
