Retail Sales Associate

Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and motivated Retail Sales Associate to join our team. This role involves providing exceptional customer service, assisting shoppers with product selection, and maintaining an organized sales floor. The ideal candidate will have sewing, quilting or embroidery experience, excellent communication skills, the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced creative environment. Duties

• Greet customers warmly and assist them with their sewing needs.
• Operate POS systems efficiently for transactions including cash handling and cashiering duties
• Conduct sewing machine demos to educate customers about features and benefits
• Sell products and promote special offers to increase sales.
• Ensure products are stocked and organized
• Answering phones & managing sales floor inventory
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly
• Ability to learn quickly and demonstrate complex products in a fast paced, creative atmosphere.

Requirements

• Previous retail sales experience preferred, especially sewing, quilting or embroidery machine knowledge is a must.
• Familiarity with POS systems, cashiering, and retail math calculations
• Strong communication skills, including phone etiquette.
• Experience with merchandising, stocking, and product demonstrations is a plus
• Supervising experience is beneficial but not required; leadership potential is valued
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Flexibility to work varied shifts as needed; punctuality is essential

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $14.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25.0 – 35.0 per week
