Precision Urethane & Machine, Inc. is a solutions provider specializing in high performance elastomer and metal products for demanding industrial and commercial applications. We have over 52 years of experience and have cast and machined some of the most intricate and difficult products used in many industries worldwide. Our services include product development, machining, fabrication and cast urethane production from prototyping to contract manufacturing.
We are searching for a Lead Urethane Technician to join our team. This person will be reporting directly to the department supervisor, and will be tasked with learning how to operate urethane metering machines along with manufacturing processes of polyurethane products such as rollers, rods, wheels, etc. according to specifications.
Position: Lead Urethane Technician
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Set-up workstations for polyurethane production and optimum work flow
- Prepare and inspect molds at the time of set-up and end of production run
- Cast urethane products
- Breakout and inspection of open cast and compression molded products
- Check products per company procedures to ensure quality and conformity
- Identify any problems with products and report to supervisor for corrections
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Must have knowledge of measurement gauges
- Detail oriented and consistent
- Basics in mathematics, reading and writing
- Must be able to stand for prolonged periods of time and perform repetitive tasks
- Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds
- Bi-Lingual preferred
Education/Experience:
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred
- Experience with manufacturing & production
- Experience with open cast & compression molds a plus
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $14.00 - $20.00 per hour
