What are the responsibilities and job description for the Guest Services Counter Representative position at Preferred Auto Parts & Supply, LLC?
POSITION SUMMARY
The Automotive Parts will interact with the in-store guests, providing detailed information based upon guest inquiries, locating parts for guests, providing exceptional customer service via phone, answering by the second ring, and supporting other team members.
POSITION TECHNICAL RESPONSIBILITIES

- Interact with customers via phone, and in person to provide support and information on products and services
- Collect and enter orders for new parts
- Fields customer questions and complaints; when the issue is beyond the representative’s knowledge, forwards to the General Manager or other appropriate team member
- Ensures that appropriate actions are taken to resolve guest problems and concerns
- Maintain customer accounts and records of customer interactions with details of inquiries, complaints, and comments
- Maintains safe and organized workplace
- Assists guests in the navigation of various parts catalogs
- Maintains the cash register in a neat and accurate manner
- Validate morning freight time and assist as needed
- Maintain cleanliness of the sales floor and organization of the back of the store
- Other duties as assigned
Education:
- High school diploma/GED preferred
Experience:
- Previous customer service experience preferred
- Previous experience working with parts, hydraulic hose, and brake lines preferred
