You will assist in planning and implementing activities that promote socialization, recreation, and wellness, while also providing exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and implement a variety of activities, including arts and crafts, games, exercise programs, and social events, to meet the diverse needs and interests of patients
- Collaborate with the Recreation Therapy department to develop and implement therapeutic recreation programs
- Assist with scheduling, planning, and execution of activities to ensure a seamless experience for patients
- Provide one-on-one and group activities to patients, incorporating their preferences and abilities
- Develop and maintain relationships with patients, families, and caregivers to ensure a positive experience
- Maintain accurate records of activities, including attendance, participation, and feedback
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to ensure continuous improvement and excellence in care
- High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in recreation therapy, occupational therapy, or a related field preferred
- 0 years of experience in activities or therapy preferred
- Ability to work varying shifts, including evenings and weekends
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
