We are seeking a professional and dedicated receptionist to join our team. As the first point of contact for our patients, the receptionist plays a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service and ensuring the smooth operation of our medical office. You will support the general operations of our South Reno clinic, including patient/member support and sales with a concierge mindset. Responsibilities: - Greet patients and visitors warmly and ensure a friendly and welcoming atmosphere in the reception area. - Answer phone calls promptly and professionally, directing calls to the appropriate department or staff member. - Schedule appointments for patients, ensuring efficient use of appointment slots and accurate documentation of appointments in the electronic scheduling system. - Verify patient information and pertinent details during check-in, updating records as necessary. Attention to detail is paramount. - Collect payments for services rendered, accurately record transactions and provide receipts to patients. - Assist with patient registration and intake forms, ensuring all necessary information is collected and entered into the electronic medical records system. - Coordinate referrals to specialists and obtain necessary authorization from insurance companies. - Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area, including stocking supplies and keeping reading materials up-to-date. Communicate effectively with patients, staff, and healthcare providers to ensure a smooth flow of information and patient care. - Adhere to HIPAA guidelines and maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
Requirements: - High school diploma or equivalent. - Previous experience working as a receptionist in a medical office or similar healthcare setting is preferred. - Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. - Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with patients and staff professionally and courteously. - Proficiency in using computer software for scheduling appointments and managing electronic medical records. - Knowledge of medical terminology and familiarity with insurance verification processes are preferred. - Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment. - Attention to detail and accuracy in maintaining patient records and processing payments. - Commitment to providing outstanding customer service and compassionate care to patients. - Comfortable with a variety of software products and Google Workspace.
