What are the responsibilities and job description for the Guest Service Representative position at Premier Alaska Tours?
The role of the Guest Service Representative (GSR) is to provide assistance with the departures and arrivals of guests at the airports and hotel properties. GSR's are the greeters, problem-solvers, and guest assistance providers for guests arriving in Alaska. GSR's also assist Transfer Drivers in the loading and unloading of luggage from motorcoaches.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Primary responsibilities of a Guest Service Representative include but are not limited to:
- Coordinate guest arrivals and departures at hotel properties and the airport
- Greet and welcome guests
- Provide guests with directions and necessary information
- Handle and resolve any guest service issues
- Assist guests with their luggage in the airport baggage terminal
- Load and unload luggage onto motorcoaches
- Assist in locating and expediting of lost or misplaced luggage
- Complete reports for damaged or misplaced luggage
- Coordinate with hotel bell staff and other PAT field staff
- Provide clear and concise directions to motorcoach drivers
- Assist the operations office as needed
- Performs other duties as required
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Guest Service Representatives must meet the following criteria in order to be considered as an applicant:
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Be a U.S. Citizen or able to provide verification of authorization to work in the U.S.
- Must be available to work May thru September
- Be able to work in a team environment
- Have excellent guest service skills with the ability to communicate effectively
- Be able to respond to and provide solutions to common inquiries or complaints from guests
- Be able to lift 50-75 pounds repetitively and stand for extended periods of time
