Key Responsibilities
As an Electro-Mechanical Design Associate, you will:
- Create accurate and efficient designs for automation systems and variable speed drive panels
- Draft detailed schematics, layouts, and bills of materials using advanced CAD software
- Collaborate with project mnagers, design engineers, and cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project execution
- Ensure compliance with electrical codes and industry standards throughout the design process
- Review and suggest improvements to existing electrical design practices and processes
- Stay informed on the latest technologies and innovations to enhance designs
Experience and Qualifications
What You'll Bring:
- A 2-year degree in Engineering Technology, Electro-Mechanical Technology, Mechatronics, or CAD/Drafting and Design
- At least 2 years of professional experience in electro-mechanical design, automation, or a related field
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics and working with electrical panel components
- Familiarity with UL508A, NFPA70 (NEC), or other applicable electrical standards
- Attention to detail with the ability to produce precise and compliant designs
- Problem-solving skills with experience addressing design challenges and implementing effective solutions
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals
- Knowledge of CAD tools such as AutoCAD Electrical, SolidWorks Electrical, or EPLAN (preferred)
- Prior experience in manufacturing, automation, or systems integration
- A commitment to staying updated on emerging technologies and industry advancements
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines
