Route Driver - Bottled Water Route

Premier Food Service is seeking an energetic and dependable Route Driver for our Bottled Water operation. We are committed to your success. You'll receive up to 90 plus days of training with our most experienced team members. Starting pay is $19.00 per hour. Schedule is M-F with a 6:30 AM daily start time.

The ideal candidate for this position enjoys a fast pace, getting an early start on the day and working independently.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Load and unload water truck.
• Performs daily inspection and documentation of the assigned vehicle.
• Perform routine water cooler maintenance
• Unload product from vehicle for delivery at the assigned locations along the route.
• Take inventory through handheld data device or manual report.
• Perform visual inspection of products to ensure quality and proper placement.
• Respond to customer inquiries in a courteous and efficient manner.
• Unload vehicle at end of route and securely manage the transfer of funds collected.

QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS

• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record for the past five years.
• Be able to pass a criminal background check as it pertains to the job.

• Ability to work in a physically challenging environment (lift up to 50 lbs, push/pull up to 500 lbs.
• Ability to operate a two or four wheeled hand-truck.
• Excellent customer service and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently, responsible for route, work unsupervised.
