What are the responsibilities and job description for the Surgical Scheduler position at Premier Health Associates?
Premier Health Associates Surgery Center is looking for motivated individuals that are eager to utilize their education and experience in an expanding medical practice. Our outpatient facility is in Sparta (Sussex County) and specializes in Gastroenterology, General Surgery and Pain Management.
Essential Functions:
- Patient Registration
- Answer telephones
- Schedules procedures and maintains all appropriate paperwork.
- Verifies patient insurances and authorizations.
- Maintains quality of patient health record
- Accurate charge importing
- Obtain patient referrals and pre-authorization, if applicable
- Explain insurance coverage to patients.
- Chart management
Qualifications:
- High School or equivalent minimum. Two-year degree and/or equivalent (preferred)
- Experience in a hospital or surgery center setting (preferred)
- Knowledge of Medical Terminology Preferred.
- Strong customer service skills a MUST
- Saturday availability a MUST
