We are looking an energetic, experienced Hotel Sales Coordinator to support our Sales Team Renaissance Hotel in sunny Daytona Beach, Florida.
BASIC PURPOSE : Assist the sales department in obtaining customer satisfaction by performing clerical and administrative duties relating to guest and hotel communications and sales. Responds to phone calls, emails, and in-person inquiries regarding group blocks, hotel information, walk-in site tours, and guest concerns.

Responds to phone calls, emails, and in-person inquiries regarding group blocks, hotel information, walk-in site tours, and guest concerns.
Essential Functions :
Distribute sales leads to the appropriate manager
Track all sales leads
Input / update lead details into SFAWeb
Get list and prep Show Rooms on a daily basis
Conduct walk-in tours and collect pertinent information from inquiry
Post picked up rooms nights, final F / B, AV and service charge in SFAWeb after group block / event is completed
Thoroughly understand the sales lead process and stay current with any changes
Maintain professional composure in high stress situations to make last minute changes and communicate them to other departments
Perform document duties such as thank you letters, re-booking reminders, deposit due reminders, rooming list cut-off date reminders, proposals, contracts, billing invoices, creating new files, filing lost business, etc.

Creating booking link in Group Housing Solutions
Proof all typing projects for accuracy of spelling and grammar before issuing
Complete special assignments as needed
Manage / update the department shared drive as necessary
Account Service and Management : Maintains well documented, accurate, organized and up-to-date file management in order to serve client and employer in the most expedient, organized and knowledgeable manner.
Develops strong customer relationships through appropriate client communication and the use of professional, courteous and ethical interpersonal interaction.
Work with sales team to achieve required sales team goals.
Have current knowledge of hotel rates, strategies, discounts and promotions.
Assist with completing any required sales reports.
Follow-up on all customers’ needs and inquires in an efficient and expedient manner.
Represents themselves and the hotel with the highest level of integrity and professionalism, a service focused approach and a caring, sincere attitude at all times.
Exhibits a positive and involved team attitude to all hotel departments and maintains open communication with all co-workers for the best overall performance of the hotel.
Assists the Sales department with client events, sales blitzes, email blasts, etc.
Create gift bags for guests, VIP’s, Trade Shows, etc. Keep supplies stocked and on hand.
Employment Standards :
High school diploma or equivalent
Previous Hospitality Marriott or Hilton Sales Coordinator experience highly preferred
Communicate information accurately
Very detail-oriented and organized, pleasant personality
Typing, filing, and general office skills
Computer skills, to include Microsoft Office
Experience with hospitality software a plus
Must be able to type 50 words per minute.
Must have a neat and pleasant overall appearance.
Must have proven telephone skills
NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
1. Assist guest with charges and special requests in person, as needed. (3%)
2. Input reservations directly into LightSpeed (2%)
Knowledge and Skills :
Education : High School diploma or vocational secretarial
Experience : Previous secretarial experience preferred
Skills and Abilities : Ability to type 50 words per minute. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
