Picker (C-Shift 6:45pm to 7:00am)

• Segregates peanuts on the conveyor belt according to grade.

• Discards cull (inferior or defective) items and foreign matter.

• Record the number of defective peanuts, foreign material rocks, sticks, and wire.

• Inspects the flow of peanuts for foreign material and non-edible peanuts.

• Follows FOOD safety responsibilities while supporting all BRC and HACCP guidelines.

• Assist with sanitation and production as needed.

• Follows all Good Manufacturing Practices.

• At times may work as a bagging of forklift operator.

• Assists with any other duties as assigned by Production Supervisor.

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is frequently exposed to high, precarious places. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

This position is located in a peanut processing facility where constant exposure to peanut dust and particles is unavoidable. Due to the nature of the work environment, we may be unable to provide a reasonable accommodation for individuals with severe peanut allergies.

Additionally, this role requires working at elevated heights, including climbing ladders and platforms up to 60 feet. Individuals with a significant fear of heights or related conditions may find this aspect of the job challenging.
