Job Description:
A Store Clerk is responsible assisting customers, and at times overseeing store operations. Duties may include operating a point of sales register, answering the phone, stocking and rotating products, issuing refunds, counting and balancing drawers, and most importantly; providing excellent customer service.
Primary Duties:
- Set the example: provide friendly, prompt, and efficient customer service.
- Assist customers with questions and requests.
- Operating point of sales register – ringing groceries, counting change, balancing drawer.
- Assist with front-line operations.
- Answering the phone.
- Stock and rotate products.
- Count and balance drawers.
- Practice proper sanitation procedures and complete required cleaning to ensure work areas and displays are kept neat and clean.
- Adhere to company policies and guidelines.
- Report to work when scheduled and on time.
