What are the responsibilities and job description for the Financial Controller position at Preston Hunter Inc?
Fast-growing, $80 million building products manufacturer is seeking a controller for their western operations which includes manufacturing, distribution and sales. The controller will report to the corporate CFO and have two direct reports and manage all day-to-day accounting and finance based in their Phoenix offices.
They will:
• Ensure effective internal controls to assure safeguarding of assets and reliability of financial statements.
• Ensure timely and accurate preparation of monthly financial statements & supplemental reporting
• Develop and manage initiatives to reduce and effectively utilize working capital and maximize cash flow
• Identify and drive efforts to improve profitability of business
• Closely monitor project costs through the manufacturing process against budgets
• Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting requirements
• Develop accurate budget and forecasts of profit and cash flow, identify risks and work with Plant management to develop action plans to achieve financial expectations
• Monitor and analyze monthly operating results against budget, forecast and prior year
• Provide financial leadership to management team
• Lead and develop capabilities of finance team
