Utility Technician

Responsibilities 

• The ability to be responsible for grinding of clear preforms in the grinding room while keeping the grinding area clean and orderly in a safe manner.
• The ability to be responsible for grinding of color preforms in the grinding room, while keeping the grinding area clean and orderly in a safe manner.
• The ability to assist Maintenance Technicians as needed.
• The ability to assists in the proper cleanup and disposal of water and oil spills.
• The ability to removes dust from pipes, bins, cabinets, etc in the grinding room.
• The ability to assists with snow removal.
• The ability to replaces light bulbs when necessary.

• Monitor silo weights to determine material needs for each silo

• Track and maintain inventory levels in both railcars and silos to coordinate timely railcar switches

• Verify incoming railcar switches for accuracy and correct material assignment

• Connect vacuum lines to safely and efficiently unload resin from railcars into designated silos

• The ability to monitor and document key process parameters of all auxiliary equipment. Reporting any anomalies to maintenance leadership.
• The ability to monitor and change all auxiliary equipment filters and filter elements in accordance with schedule, as well as, on an “as needed basis”.
• The ability to work in conjunction with equipment manufacturers and maintenance staff on auxiliary equipment maintenance and rebuilds.
• The ability to maintains a clean, safe and organized work area.
