Prevailance is seeking an experienced and mission-focused professional to support Commander, Naval Surface Forces Pacific (CNSP) and Afloat Training Group Pacific (ATGPAC) as a BMD Joint Interface Control (JIC) Subject Matter Expert. This position emphasizes the importance of training and certification of ships in the Pacific Fleet, particularly focusing on the role of a Tactical Information Coordinator (TIC).
The BMD JIC SME is crucial for maintaining operational readiness and effectiveness within the Pacific Fleet's BMD capabilities. The ideal candidate should possess both the technical expertise and training experience to enhance crew performance and contribute to the continuous improvement of training standards and operational protocols.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Training and Certification:
- Support the training and certification of all ships in the Pacific Fleet, particularly related to Aegis Ballistic Missile Defense (BMD) systems.
- Operational Support:
- Act as a Tactical Information Coordinator (TIC) on Aegis BMD or equivalent platforms, overseeing data exchange and operational effectiveness.
- Training and Evaluation:
- Conduct BMD training and evaluation as a member of a training team, ensuring crew proficiency and readiness for operations.
- Technical Support:
- Assist in troubleshooting and monitoring current Tactical Data Link (TDL) systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Program Quality Control:
- Provide recommendations for improving training standards and quality assurance within the CNSP/ATGPAC framework.
- Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Monitor, analyze, and track training data for ships, providing insights to improve training programs and operational readiness.
Requirements
Experience:
- Surface Navy Experience:
- 2 years of surface Navy experience as a qualified Tactical Information Coordinator (TIC) on an Aegis BMD or equivalent platform.
- BMD Training and Evaluation:
- 2 years experience with BMD Tactical Data Link (TDL) data exchange configuration.
- Experience conducting BMD training and evaluation as part of a training team.
Knowledge Areas:
- TDL Systems:
- Knowledge of current TDL monitoring systems and troubleshooting techniques.
- BMD Concepts:
- In-depth knowledge of BMD tactics, technical systems, and relevant instructions, including COMNAVSURFORINST 8820.2 series requirements and tactical memorandums.
- AEGIS Combat Systems:
- Familiarity with AEGIS Combat Systems, including its components and operational instructions.
- BMD Command and Control:
- Understanding of BMD Command and Control issues, particularly regarding surveillance, engagement, and planning functions required for various numbered fleets.
Security Clearance:
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance

Salary : $80,000 - $135,000
