We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Orthodontic Insurance Coordinator to join our growing team at Prewitt & Prewitt Orthodontics. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of orthodontic insurance, billing, and claims processing, and will be able to work collaboratively with our team to ensure a smooth and efficient process for our patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Verify and confirm patient insurance benefits prior to treatment.
- Submit orthodontic insurance claims and follow up on pending claims for timely resolution.
- Work directly with insurance companies to resolve claim issues, payment discrepancies, and denials.
- Provide patients with accurate information regarding their insurance coverage, out-of-pocket costs, and payment options.
- Process and track patient payments.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date insurance information in the patient management system.
- Ensure compliance with all regulations and practice protocols related to insurance billing and documentation.
- Communicate with patients and their families regarding financial options, including payment plans and insurance coverage.
- Assist with other administrative tasks as needed, including answering phones, checking in patients, patient scheduling and front desk support.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in orthodontic insurance coordination or similar billing/insurance role.
- In-depth knowledge of orthodontic insurance policies, procedures, and terminology.
- Strong understanding of insurance verification, claim submission, and follow-up processes.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to explain insurance coverage and treatment costs in a clear and compassionate manner.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle complex insurance inquiries.
- High school diploma or equivalent (Associate's or Bachelor’s degree preferred).
- Previous experience working in a dental or orthodontic office is preferred but not required.

Pay: $14.00 - $17.00 per hour
