Job description
Looking for someone to fill do Laundry 2 times a week and Housekeeping 3 days a week, you will need to be available weekends and holidays, and must be reliable.
Hotel Laundry/Linen Attendant Duties may include:
- Collect soiled linens from guest rooms or housekeeping attendant
- Remove stains from soiled laundry.
- Sort and wash linens using appropriate machinery.
- Hotel laundry attendant must fold and stack linens.
- Keep hotel laundry room clean.
- Linen Attendant assists housekeeping with inventory and loss control.
- Create positive work environment by having good relations between housekeeping attendants, hotel laundry, staff and guests at the hotel.
Hotel Laundry/Linen Attendant Job Qualifications:
- Ability to lift a minimum of 25 lbs. Pushing, pulling, bending, stooping, upward reaching.
- Exposure to cleaning chemicals. Have current MSDS sheets available.
- Know proper use of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
- Operation of heavy machinery (if applicable).
- Prolonged periods of standing and/or walking.
Hotel Room Attendant Duties:
Responsibilities include changing towels, making beds and cleaning bathrooms. You will address clients’ queries and make sure our rooms are fully-stocked, clean and inviting at all times. Ultimately, you will ensure a pleasant and comfortable experience for our guests during their stay with us.
Responsibilities
- Change bed linen and make beds
- Replace used towels
- Sweep and mop floors
- Vacuum carpets
- Dust furniture
- Replenish bath care products (e.g. soap and shampoo)
- Restock beverages and food items in the mini-bar
- Clean public areas, like corridors
- Report any technical issues and maintenance needs
- Address guests’ queries (e.g. on additional services)
- Help guests retrieve lost items
- Ensure all assigned rooms are clean and tidy by the end of the shift
- Follow hotel security guidelines
Skills
- Work experience as a Room Attendant or Maid
- Experience with industrial cleaning equipment and products
- Good physical health and stamina
- Flexibility to work in shifts
- Ability to work with little or no supervision while meeting high-performance standards
- Excellent organization skills
- Ability to follow instructions
- High school diploma is a plus
