Price Industries Inc. is on the search for an Application Support Specialist for our growing US office and manufacturing facility located in Suwanee, GA. You will play a vital role in ensuring the seamless operation and continuous improvement of our enterprise systems, supporting both internal teams and external users. This role will primarily consist of day-to-day monitoring and fulfilling of service requests and incidents to support external users and other operational areas within the company. The candidate will carry broad application knowledge, support experience, troubleshooting and process analysis capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Provide application support, mainly for the company’s enterprise system, and for a variety of other applications. This includes data maintenance, user account administration, daily monitoring, incident management, request fulfillment and root cause analysis.
- Help to ensure the enterprise system’s compliance to internal and external security accreditations and policies. This includes performing of periodical reports to monitor acquiescence.
- Perform functional testing and documentation to support readiness of new solutions.
- Support continuous improvement by assisting developers and analysts in conceptualizing and developing new enhancements/programs.
- Keep knowledge base and work instruction documentation up to date.
- Be engaged and communicative with the business areas being supported.
- Will be required, on a rotational basis, to provide after-hours support, paid at OT rates
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of application support experience in the manufacturing industry.
- College Degree in Computer Science or Information Systems, or equivalent.
- In-depth, hands-on knowledge and technical expertise with a large-scale enterprise system such as ERP.
- Proven experience with troubleshooting principles, methodologies and root cause analysis techniques.
- Demonstrated good customer service experience and application of industry’s best practices.
- Working technical knowledge of programming languages and relational databases, including SharePoint, Progress and SQL.
- Strong knowledge of MS Office applications.
- Experience in developing technical documentations for training and end-user procedures.
- Experience with Syteline or IFS Cloud ERP applications considered an asset.
- Knowledge on financial/accounting terminologies and processes related to manufacturing considered an asset.
- ITIL Certification considered an asset.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Highly customer service oriented.
- Attention to accuracy and quality of work.
- Self-motivated and able to work collaboratively with minimal supervision.
