Intensive Care Nurse

Pride Health is hiring a Registered Nurse - ICU to support our client’s medical facility in Waterloo, IA 50703. This is a 13-week assignment (Possibility of extension or conversion) opportunity and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!

Job Summary:

• Registered Nurse - ICU. 36 hours per week (3x12s, Nights: 7 pm to 7 am, every third weekend)

• Current RN License issued by the Iowa State Board of Nursing or compact state license

• BLS (AHA)

• Bachelors degree

Registered Nurse - ICU:

• ICU nurses continuously monitor patients' vital signs (heart rate, blood pressure, respiratory rate, oxygen saturation), neurological status, and response to treatment using specialized equipment like ventilators and cardiac monitors.

• They administer medications, including intravenous fluids, pain management drugs, and other specialized treatments as prescribed by physicians.

• ICU nurses assist with or perform various procedures, such as inserting IV lines, managing central lines, and assisting with intubation and mechanical ventilation.

• They manage and assess wounds, including surgical wounds and pressure ulcers, and implement appropriate care plans.

• Ensuring patient safety is a top priority, including preventing falls, infections, and medication errors.

• They are trained to respond to medical emergencies, including performing CPR and other life-saving measures.

Experience required:

• Must have 2 years of ICU experience is required.

• EPIC experience required.

• Shifts: 36 hours per week (3x12s, Nights: 7 pm to 7 am, every third weekend)

• Weekly Pay Range: $2200/week to $2300/week
