Phlebotomist

Pride Health is hiring a Phlebotomist-I to support our client’s medical facility, which is based in Sarasota, FL, 34329.

This is a Contract job with a possible extension opportunity and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!

Location: Sarasota, FL, 34239

Schedule: Monday - Friday 6:30 am to 3:30 pm with rotational Saturdays 07 - 11 am (40hours/week)

Pay Range: $17.74 - $19.74 (Offered pay rate will be based on education, experience, and healthcare credentials.) The rate is based on years of DIRECT EXPERIENCE as listed in the resume

Responsibilities

• Perform venipuncture and capillary blood sampling with precision and care.
• Ensure proper identification of patients before blood collection.
• Perform venipunctures and capillary draws using appropriate gauge needles while ensuring patient comfort and safety.
• Label, process, and transport blood specimens accurately and efficiently in compliance with CLIA, OSHA, and HIPAA standards.
• Verify patient identification and maintain accurate documentation in electronic health record (EHR) systems.

Required Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent REQUIRED
• Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.

Work Experience:

• Minimum of 6 months of experience REQUIRED.
• One ( ) year of phlebotomy experience is preferred.
• Customer service in a retail or service environment is preferred.
• Keyboard/data entry experience is a must.
