Summary:
The Sales Assistant will be responsible for helping the Inside Sales team by supporting day-to-day sales activities, order tracking, and interacting with suppliers.
Job Responsibilities:
- Research price and delivery options with suppliers
- Develop rapport with Inside and Field Sales
- Track open customer orders and expedite with suppliers, obtain price and delivery quotations from vendors. Follow up with vendors who don’t respond in a timely fashion
- Develop knowledge and understanding of culture, sales, and product lines in preparation for promotion into Sales and/or Customer Service role.
- Assist in general office duties
- Become proficient with computer procedures relating to sales
- Perform data entry for the functions required by the position
Job Requirements:
- Previous experience in administration, customer service, sales, or other related fields or college education
- Mechanical background preferred (Machine shop, automotive related business, manufacturing company)
- Ability to build rapport with suppliers and sales teams
- Ability to prioritize and multitask
- Positive and professional demeanor
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Working knowledge of Windows, Excel, and Outlook
Hours: Monday – Friday 7:30am – 4:00pm
Pay: $19.50/hr DOE
