USA Construction Professionals (Field Operations)

Green City Demolition (GCD, PDI) is looking for dynamic individuals who are passionate about Demolition and have interest in the construction industry for a variety of field operations roles! Positions include Demolition Labourers, Crane/High Reach/Heavy Equipment Operators, Torchmen, Foremen and more! These positions are based at various job sites across Ohio, Kentucky and Tennessee with the potential to support new projects across the USA.

You will be a team member of the demolition crew and as such will be required to perform a variety of tasks involving physical labour, skilled-trades, equipment operating and health and safety. Training will be provided!

Job Duties

• Controlled deconstruction of commercial, residential and road infrastructure
• Properly and safely load and unload metal materials from trucks
• Comply with company safe work practices and procedures
• Use manual and power tool assisted demolition methods, including lifting of debris into waste management bins or trucks
• Clean and perform preparation of worksite
• Operate a variety of equipment, which may include: excavators, skid-steers, crushers, front-loaders, backhoes, cranes, etc.
• Various other duties as required
  
  

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Knowledge of working at heights, workplace safety, safe lifting and handling procedures
• Knowledge of First Aid and CPR preferred
• Ability to operate required equipment in a safe and responsible manner
• Effective verbal and listening communications skills
• Time management, interpersonal and organizational skills
• Ability to read electrical schematics, blueprints and other technical diagrams
• Respect diversity - treat others with respect and avoid unnecessary conflict
• Ability to work independently and complete daily activities according to work schedule
• Ability to travel to different sites as required
  
  

Work Conditions

• Job requires ability to work with a variety of hand and power tools
• Ability to lift and manipulate objects of up to 70 lbs for 50 feet is required
• Use of Personal Protection Equipment will be required (e.g., hard-hat, safety boots, safety glasses, gloves, etc.)
• Regularly works near moving mechanical parts and in conditions that include heat and humidity, and exposure to dust
• Noise level is generally loud
• Hazards associated with the industry
• Working outdoors in a variety of weather conditions
