What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Assistant position at PRIMARY CARE OFFICE?

Duties:

- Assist healthcare professionals in providing patient care and treatment
- Prepare patients for examinations and procedures
- Take patient vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse
- Administer medications and injections as directed by healthcare providers
- Perform basic laboratory tests and collect specimens for testing
- Prepare and maintain examination rooms and medical equipment
- Schedule appointments and manage patient records
- Provide patient education on various medical conditions and treatments

- Front Office Duties/ Insurance verification

-Willing to travel within the Golden Triangle area

-Bilingual in Spanish, a plus

Requirements:

- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a medical assistant program or certification preferred but not required
- Proficiency in medical terminology and basic computer skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $13.00 - $16.50 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
