Local School Governors form a Local Committee reporting to The Board of Trustees and make decisions about the strategic direction of Tubbenden Primary School.

The Local Governing Body (LGB) meets at least twice per term as a whole group. School Governors have legal duties, powers and responsibilities. They can only act collectively, not individually. The Governors are made up of parents, members of staff and co-opted Governors.
- Are elected by parents of children at the School
- Serve for a period of four years.
LGB Parent Governors bring the views of parents to the Local Governing Body but they speak and act as individuals. They are not delegates or mouthpieces of parents and they do not vote for all parents in general. They have equal status and voting rights in the work of the Local Governing Body.
