We are seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing clinical and administrative support. The Medical Assistant will be required to travel to our Wethersfield, South Windsor, and Enfield locations.
Responsibilities:
- Check in patients, verify demographic and insurance information and collecting copays.
- Record patient medical history and vital signs
- Schedule patient appointments and maintain medical records
- Provide patient education and instructions as directed by healthcare professionals
- Maintain inventory of medical supplies and equipment
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a Medical Assistant program
- Certification as a Medical Assistant
- Previous experience in a medical facility preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Must have reliable transportation and be able to travel to Wethersfield, South Windsor, and Enfield locations
