Duration: 1-year base contract with up to four (4) option years

Shift Schedule: 8-, 9-, or 10-hour shifts (4–5 days/week), including rotating weekends and federal holidays. On-call, overtime, and callback coverage may be required as needed.

How many shifts needed per month: Approximately full-time coverage (1.0 FTE = 2,080 hours/year per technologist)

Credentialing / Onboarding time: 6 weeks to 8 weeks

License

ARRT – Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist (MRI specialty)

Certifications

• ARRT (MRI)
• BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support)
  
  

Experience Needed

• Minimum 2 years MRI experience
• Must have worked as an MRI Tech in a hospital setting within the last 6 months
  
  

Special Skills Needed

• Advanced MRI protocols (head, neck, spine, abdomen, chest, extremities)
• Operation of superconductive MRI systems
• Strong patient safety and MRI safety practices
• VA systems familiarity preferred (DHCP / RIS / PACS)
  
  

Responsibilities

• Perform complex MRI examinations per radiologist protocols
• Verify patient identity and pregnancy status
• Prepare, position, and monitor patients during scans
• Maintain imaging quality and documentation in VA systems
• Participate in on-call and after-hours emergency imaging
• Adhere to infection control, radiation safety, and VA policies
• Coordinate with radiologists, chief technologists, and clinical staff
