Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree required.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in Histology and Cytology.
- If shortlisted, CME is required.
- Perform grossing, embedding, cutting, staining, and cover-slipping of tissue specimens.
- Assist in cutting surgical, frozen sections, and possibly autopsies as required.
- Utilize equipment, instruments, and specialized techniques to process specimens while maintaining integrity and meeting laboratory standards.
- Prepare special stains as requested by pathologists for diagnostic purposes.
- Serve as a back-up morgue assistant in the absence of the contract diener, assisting with autopsies, body identification, setup, closure, and cleanup.
- Ensure adherence to laboratory protocols, safety regulations, and quality assurance standards.
