Job Summary

The Branch Manager acquires, builds and retains customer relationships while also enhancing the service, loyalty and sales core competencies in the organization. The position works jointly with Head of Retail and Marketing in laying out branch marketing plans that support the PrimeSouth brand name directed at achieving growth and service objectives. This position is responsible for improvements in branch profitability, ATM service and profitability for the branch. This position manages, coordinates, and supervises activities assigned to the Tellers and Customer Services Representatives to ensure accurate, efficient, and exceptional service to PrimeSouth Bank customers.

The individual with this position in our company will be expected, on a regular basis, to perform any functions necessary, within scope of authority and expertise, to provide the highest level of service and responsiveness to customers:

  • Supervises, coordinates, and monitors daily activities of the Tellers and Customer Service personnel.
  • Leads staff in the areas of relationship expansion and retention through integrating products and services with the customers’ needs.
  • Seasoned in developing new and expanding existing business by networking, contacting prospects and existing customers
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve current and future Bank goals
  • Ensures appropriate staffing levels to service projected business volume through the preparation of work schedules.
  • Provides instructions, assigns duties and reviews work to ensure efficiency, accuracy and compliance with established policies and procedures.
  • Provide exceptional service to customers as measured by annual and periodic external/internal audits; regular and interim management reviews or procedures; as well as balancing, transaction reports and member surveys.
  • Ensures that staff receives appropriate development opportunities by scheduling them for various training classes.
  • Conducts regular staff meetings.
  • Partners with Human Resources in the hiring, performance management, and separation process as necessary and offers coaching to existing staff.
  • Maintains contact with existing business deposit customers to ensure excellent business relations and appropriate service level.
  • Actively participates in community to market and promote PrimeSouth Bank. Support business development initiatives in partnership with Marketing. Performs out of branch business development.
  • Interacts with co-workers, supervisors, customers, and outside contacts in an appropriate, professional manner which projects a positive image of the department and PrimeSouth Bank.
  • Remains cognizant of and adheres to PrimeSouth Bank policies and procedures, and regulations pertaining to the Bank Secrecy Act.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics

  • Ability to operate bank software programs and standard office equipment and proficient typing skills
  • Strong Knowledge of financial institutions products and services
  • Interpersonal skills necessary to relate to and empathize with others
  • Characteristics including honesty, integrity, and professionalism
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
  • Ability to maintain a friendly, cheerful, and courteous demeanor throughout the workday
  • Ability to multi-task in a high traffic area of customer interaction and maintain a

positive attitude at all times

  • Participate in on-going training as required

Minimum Qualifications

Education:

  • High school diploma or high school equivalency diploma is required

Experience:

  • A minimum of Five years (5) experience in a multi-functional financial retail branch, to include a minimum of two years as a branch manager of a comparable branch – measured in terms of deposit base, loan balance, staff complement and transaction volume.
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve sales goals of deposit and loan products and to ensure compliance of financial laws, regulations, and policies.
  • Requires excellent organizational, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, as well as an attention to detail
  • Must be highly motivated and maintain confidentiality

Work Authorization

Must be authorized to work in the United States. No security clearance needed. Candidate will need to pass a drug test, credit history check, and criminal background check. Prior convictions could be considered if the candidate can show that they are not relevant to performance in this role.
