DUTIES / TASKS
- Punches in on time and is available for work at the beginning of each workday.
- Digs ditches or trenches, backfill excavations, and compact and level earth to grade specifications, using picks, shovels and other tools.
- Assist in installation of pipes and risers.
- Assist in locating utilities and set pedestals.
- Load, unload, and identify job materials, machinery, and tools, and distribute them to the appropriate locations, according to project plans and specifications.
- Push and/or pull cable.
- Assist in setup and breakdown of work zone.
- Aids in traffic control.
- Assists construction crew in completion of work assigned,
- Seed straw and restore job site.
- Follow all safety regulations and standards.
- Notifies supervisor of any unsafe equipment or working conditions.
- Attends safety meetings as required.
- Is neatly groomed and wears company uniform.
- Read and check prints.
- Receives an annual performance evaluation of satisfactory or better or a plan is in place to achieve that result.
- Follows company, customer and OSHA Safety rules and regulations while in field
- Performs any other duty or assignment as may be assigned, from time to time, by the Supervisor.
