CNC Programmer

JOB SUMMARY

The CNC Programmer at Prince Industries will be responsible for programming and setting up CNC machines to ensure the efficient production of precision parts for various applications. This role requires expertise in machine programming, attention to detail, and the ability to troubleshoot and optimize processes.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

·       Program CNC machines using software such as Fusion 360 or MasterCAM.

·       Set up and operate CNC machinery according to specifications and blueprints.

·       Understand and utilize G-code and M-code for machine operations.

·       Interpret complex blueprints for the Aerospace and Medical industry.

·       Troubleshoot and make necessary adjustments to programs to enhance production efficiency.

·       Perform quality checks using precision measuring instruments to ensure parts meet specifications.

·       Maintain detailed records of production and any modifications to the machining process.

·       Collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimize workflows.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

·       High school diploma or equivalent; an associate's or bachelor's degree is a plus.

·       3-5 years of experience in CNC programming and set up.

·       Proficiency in using CAD/CAM software (Fusion 360, MasterCAM, etc.).

·       Strong understanding of G-code and M-code.

·       Experience with precision measuring tools and inspection techniques.

·       Knowledge of Blueprint Reading and GD&T.

·       Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Regularly required to stand for the duration of shift, 8-10 hours
• Occasionally required to walk; sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, or bend
• Regularly lift, push or pull up to 50 pounds
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and ability to adjust focus
• The noise level in the work environment is generally loud, requiring hearing protection
