What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Assistant position at Princeton Orthopaedic Associates?

Princeton Orthopedic Associates is a patient-centered orthopedic practice seeking a Medical Assistant who is organized and independently motivated to join our outstanding Clinical Team. The position is accountable to rooming patients, capturing vitals, obtaining/entering clinical information into the patient’s electronic medical record, cleaning and maintaining exam rooms, and fielding clinical messages.

Technical Skills/Competencies: Ability to thrive in a customer driven, fast paced environment while maintaining composure, knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology, communicates clearly in conversations, interactions, and in writing, and works effectively with other team members.

  • Assists the provider, providing quality hands-on patient care
  • Cast removal and application
  • Durable Medical Equipment [DME] application as requested by providers
  • Management and facilitation of medication refills per provider direction
  • Suture removals
  • Clinical Workflow
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Prepare exam rooms between each patient
  • Injection preparation as needed
  • Regular, daily, stocking of exam rooms with supplies
  • Receive and handle all clinical patient telephone calls to completion under the advisement of the provider
