Position Summary:
The Estimator is responsible for maintaining a balance between profitability and achieving total customer satisfaction. This role is critical to establishing selling prices and analyzing job costs while working closely with Sales, Customer Service, and Production.
This position will be working closely with our folding carton and packaging side of printing.
This highly collaborative member of the customer service team will be responsible for preparing estimates for production jobs based on customer specifications received from Account Executives and Managers. While analyzing labor, overhead and vendor material costs, this team member will also suggest changes to internal costs and external pricing as needed all while working with Cost Accounting, Sales Account Executives and Production Management.

• Prepares estimates for production jobs based on customer specifications received from Sales and Customer Service and within overall profitability guidelines or pricing structure of the organization.
• Analyzes estimated versus actual costs and reports variances to management on a regular basis.
• Reviews labor, overhead and vendor material cost and suggests changes to internal cost and external pricing as needed.
• Coordinates timely reviews of contract pricing with Account Executives to ensure pricing is up to date.
• Stays up to date on paper inventory and spoilage tables to monitor and improve estimating process.
• Collaborate and communicate with cross-functional partners: Finance, Sales, Production and Customer Service.
Education and Experience:
• Three to five years of FOLDING CARTON OR PACKAGING job quoting, costing, or purchasing is required.
• Proven track record of good communication, proficient math and computer skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and flexibility to change and adapt to needs of the customer
• Be able to communicate, influence, persuade and partner with internal and external stakeholders
• Self-Starter, ability to handle numerous projects, prioritize workload, and work with minimal supervision.
• Computer Proficiency: Microsoft Excel, Estimating Software Programs, EFI, and iQuote and ability to learn new software as needed.
