Job Details:
The Fire Alarm Installer will perform installations of fire alarm wire, trim out devices, read prints and do As Built. As a fire alarm installer, this person is expected to be self-motivated, self-managed.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Assists the Project Lead in activities and timely delivery of project.
Runs fire alarm wire to NFPA standards. Lifting, performing repetitive motions, using hand, power tools and working in all types of weather are demands of this position.
Responsible for the connection of fire alarm panels, power supplies, wire concealment.
Completes all wiring, connections, and equipment installations ensuring that systems are complete and operational according to contract requirements including installation of all fire alarm devices.
Troubleshoots fire alarm system installations to ensure that they are functioning properly and that they meet local, county, state, and/or federal codes and any licensing and/or insurance requirements
Completes miscellaneous tasks as assigned by project lead
Requirements:
Must have a Texas Fire Alarm License (FAL)
Able to install and service many different fire alarm manufacturers.
High School Diploma or commensurate experience
Two years’ experience in the installation of fire alarm Systems
PC Proficient
Valid Driver’s License
Must be able to pass drug and background screens
OSHA preferred
