Essential Functions
- All team members are expected to be knowledgeable and compliant with Prisma Health's values: Inspire health. Serve with compassion. Be the difference.
- Retrieves and intakes deceased patients from room, Emergency Trauma Center, etc. during normal business hours as well as coordinate the intake of deceased from the Coroner's Office into the Prisma Health Morgue.
- Confirms identification of remains and maintain accurate roster of remains on site at all times. Complete all necessary documentation to ensure integrity of morgue activity and files.
- Completes all documentation to include Burial Removal Transport Permits for Prisma Health and the Coroner's Office
- Coordinates the notification and release of all bodies to mortuaries
- Provides necessary information with and work with the Mortality Coordinator to ensure all documentation is correct and submitted in an appropriate manner on time.
- Manages the morgue and appropriately documents location of each deceased person in both facilities
- Assists Pathologist, Medical Examiner and Coroner
- Performs other duties as assigned.
