About the Role
This hybrid role combines medical assistant duties with office management. You’ll help ensure the office runs smoothly while also playing a hands-on role in patient care. Key Responsibilities
Medical Assistant Duties
• Welcome patients warmly and provide support before, during, and after medical treatments
• Take and document vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and oxygen saturation
• Prepare treatment rooms and ensure a clean, calming environment for procedures
• Assist with patient intake: reviewing medical history, current medications, and symptom updates
• Monitor patients during in-office treatments, provide comfort items, and alert provider of any concerns
• Support provider with post-treatment recovery tasks and documentation
Administrative Tasks
• Answer and manage incoming phone calls, texts, and emails with professionalism and empathy
• Coordinate appointment scheduling, calendar updates, and patient reminders
• Verify insurance eligibility and benefits for new and existing patients
• Assist with obtaining prior authorizations, tracking claim submissions, and following up as needed
• Manage patient invoices, prepare receipts, and maintain accurate billing records
• Maintain EMR accuracy and ensure timely data entry of visit notes, treatment documentation, and communications
Qualifications
• Medical Assistant certification preferred but not required. Must be willing to train and learn hands-on skills
• Background in healthcare or office administration is a plus
• Self-starter with strong follow-through and a proactive mindset
• Motivated to grow professionally and contribute meaningfully to patient care
• Excellent phone and communication etiquette
• Ideal for pre-health, pre-nursing, or allied health students or recent grads
• Tech-savvy and confident with EMRs, phone systems, and digital tools

Schedule and Compensation
• Part-time to start, with the opportunity to grow into a full-time role
• Afternoon and early evening availability is required
• $20–25 per hour, depending on experience
