Row Crop Assistant Manager
Welcome to Pro-Ag Organic Farms in Wray, Colorado. We’re a center pivot irrigated organic farm in northeastern Colorado and southwestern Nebraska. What you would be doing:
- Management of day-to-day row crop farm operations
- Inspect fields to determine crop maturity and condition and make operational decisions based on conditions and deadlines in relation to overall crop plans
- Improve efficiency across the farm, increasing profitability and crop quality
- Direct supervision of row crop operations such as planning, tilling, planting, cultivating, and harvesting
- Manage, mentor and develop farm operations staff
- Oversee maintenance and repairs on farm equipment
- Other farm duties as necessary
This job is for you if you have:
- Precision farming techniques, technology and equipment operation experience
- Ability to manage multiple projects and people to deliver results on agreed upon deadlines
- Progressive thinker and open-minded
- Ability to work outdoors and longer hours during peak seasons
- Ability to work independently and prioritize the workload
- Great problem solving skills
- Great communications skills both verbal and written
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
- Spanish speaking skills are a significant advantage
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
