What are the responsibilities and job description for the Yard Technician position at Pro Rentals and Sales?

A typical day might include the following:
- Prepping yard for start and close of business.
- Loading and unloading equipment and communicating rental details with Inside Sales.
- Wash and make any necessary repairs to returned equipment and ensure it is rent ready.
- Assist in the look, appearance, and arrangement of equipment in the yard.
Top candidates will have:
- A valid driver's license, acceptable driving record, and reliable transportation
- Be able to meet all conditions of drug and alcohol testing requirements and to commit to a drug-free workplace.
- Ability to pass a forklift, AWP, and propane training tests.
- A focus for safety
Additional qualifications:
- Ability to take instruction and understand goals and processes.
- Ability to work fluctuating schedules which include some Saturdays.
- Complete other duties as assigned.
Physical demands
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time and the ability to perform tasks such as walking, bending, lifting, pushing, pulling and reaching.
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds several times throughout a shift.
- % of workday performing, but not limited to:
o Standing 50%
o Walking 45%
o Sitting 5%
