If so, we hope you’ll apply. Pro-Type Industries is looking for a Fabrication Manager who is detailed oriented, multitasker to join our Sterling, VA metal fabrication team. As the Manufacturing Manager, you will oversee, lead and optimize the daily manufacturing operations.

Qualifications
Job Duties Include
- Provide day-to-day leadership and strategic oversight for all production departments, including the Sheet Metal Department, Welding Department, and Assembly Department.
- Immediately stabilize and improve the performance of the Departments — addressing backlog, planning gaps, and personnel issues.
- Implement and enforce operational KPIs across departments using SQDC and other visual management systems.
- Develop team leaders into disciplined, data-driven supervisors who model ownership, urgency, and teamwork.
- Standardize preventative and predictive maintenance programs to improve equipment uptime and reliability.
- Lead cross-functional initiatives to drive continuous improvement in safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
- Streamline plant layout, workflow, and production scheduling to reduce bottlenecks and increase throughput.
- Support ERP system utilization and real-time data integrity in all operational transactions.
- Ensure compliance with AS9100 standards, quality requirements, and safety regulations.
- Actively participate in business planning and resource allocation to support growth and capacity expansion.
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or related field is preferred but not required.
- 8 to 10 years of industry equivalent experience field is required
- With 5 to 7 years of those years with hands-on operations leadership of a team or staff in aerospace, precision machining, or related manufacturing environments.
- Proven ability to develop, coach, and elevate frontline leaders from technical experts to team managers.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cultural transformation and drive accountability in underperforming departments.

Salary : $100,000 - $120,000
