PROJECT COORDINATOR
This role is ideal for someone who came up through the ranks of a corporation as an assistant to the CFO or CEO and moved into project coordination because they will have the project finance skills understanding needed. A bachelors degree is not required for this role.
You will provide support for project management activities for Proconex, an Emerson Impact Partner, Systems Engineering projects. Execution and management of project related tasks in a team environment while maintaining a strong focus on customer satisfaction and on-time delivery, throughout all stages of the project lifecycle. This individual will have direct responsibility for diverse tasks including but not limited to the setup of new projects in the business system, financial updates, reporting, invoicing, and coordinating procurement activities. The successful candidate will be a detail oriented, self-starter with a focus on ownership and accountability.
- Ability to work on tight deadlines, strong competency in using Microsoft Office applications such as Word and Excel and have exceptional verbal and written skills.
- Ensure projects adhere to frameworks and documentation is maintained appropriately for each project.
- Development of a strong understanding of the operation and use of the Proconex Business System (IFS)
- Maintain and monitor project plans, schedules, work hours, budgets, and expenditures
- Purchase order management and financial updates
- Orders and materials management
- Project Invoicing
- Departmental reporting
- Undertake the management of small projects and other project related tasks as required.
- Provide administrative support as needed.
The success of this position will be measured by on-time and accurate execution of assigned activities including efficient coordination and collaboration with diverse stakeholders such as operations management, project management, system sales, and other key business segments.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Strong technical aptitude and problem-solving skills, along with relevant degree and 2 to 3 years of experience in project support, sales support, or a similar role. Data entry experience with an ERP system.
- Outstanding organizational and communication (verbal and written) skills are required. Proficiency in business technologies including MS Word, Excel, and ERP (IFS) systems. Understand software program relationships and work quickly and efficiently between multiple programs. Extensive organizational skills, handling multiple priorities daily, with a high attention to detail. Professional communication and exceptional collaboration skills with a high level of engagement and enthusiasm to drive results.
