How your skills will be used:

PEC's Project Assistant team provides a multitude of services including project set ups, budget tracking, reports, and proposals. Project Assistants are the glue that hold their teams together and keep projects moving efficiently.

  • Prepare and maintain project specific documents such as correspondence, meeting minutes, reports, contracts, proposals, specifications, etc.
  • Attend teleconference and off-site project meetings with clients when requested.
  • Work with project managers and project teams to schedule meetings, develop agendas, and distribute meeting minutes.
  • Responsible for working with project and team members to keep updated documentation of outstanding questions, project requirements, actions items, RFI's, submittals, etc. up to date on a weekly basis. Work with project managers and team leads as needed to develop and update project task backlogs.
  • Complete transmittal forms, secure office copy of all documents and transmit material to the client for contractor's material requests. Contractor material requests will be reviewed by the engineer on the project.
  • Ensure quality and uniformity of appearance of drawings, reports, specifications, etc. through detailed review.
  • Performs general clerical duties to include but not limited to: photocopying, faxing, filing, and phone use as necessary.
  • Preparation of design and construction documentation, including addendums, change orders, preconstruction conference outlines, permits, and contract documents.
  • Assist with development of project management functions, including schedule/budget tracking and resource management.

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous office experience preferred
  • Proficient with Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Ability to learn software programs quickly
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • High degree of organization and accountability
  • Experience with Client Relationship Management (CRM) software preferred
  • Values building internal and external professional relationships
  • Self-starter who requires little to no supervision to meet assigned deadlines
  • High energy, positive, professional attitude, takes pride in work, superior attention to detail
  • Team oriented, collaborative work style
