What are the responsibilities and job description for the Optometric Technician position at Professional Eye Care Centers?
Professional Eyecare Centers is looking for a motivated individual to join their clinic as an optometric technician. As an optometric technician, you would take medical histories from patients, prepare the exam room for the doctor, assist with contact lens fittings, perform diagnostic scans, and more! We are willing to provide on the job training, no experience necessary. Would potentially travel with the doctor and staff to one of our clinics as needed.
Duties:
- Assist with patient care and eye exams
- Taking patients medical history
- Assist with contact lens fittings
- Answering phone calls
- Operate optical diagnostic equipment including lensometers and retinal cameras
- Clean and sterilize equipment as necessary
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED certificate
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
