Our Transportation Coordinator focuses on advising and influencing others in their daily activities. This position has operational execution responsibilities that result in financial impacts through route guide, compliance, service and cost savings initiatives.
Key Focus
- Efficiently and effectively execute the transport of products utilizing tools and processes to exceed service expectations
- Collaboration with cross-functional areas including customer service, operations, facilities, and deployment while maintaining the proper professional approach in all interactions (face to face, phone, email, meeting, etc.)
- Take initiative and make decisions independently weighing customer needs, facility requirements, carrier capacity, and escalating as appropriate
- Resolve conflicts/discrepancies positively, professionally, and timely
Administration
- Build strong working relationships with internal and external customers
- Daily communication on productivity to leadership
- Trusted with confidential information
- Embrace a Winning mindset, while being aligned, agile and adaptable
Required
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum of two (2) years in a customer focus role, preferably in a transportation and/or logistics environment
- Experience with Microsoft Office Applications, focusing on MS Excel and Google Apps
- Experience working in a tactical and fast-paced office environment
- Able to provide communication effectively in the English language
- Attention to detail and a Sense of urgency is a must have in this role
- Experience working with transportation software packages and TMS strongly preferred
- Requires a professional approach to internal and external customers
- Demonstrates a professional image and demeanor
- Prior dispatch experience is a major plus
